Tried & Tested: Ecotools

Posted on

I’ve been exposed to fashion since I can remember, mainly because I work in an industry that requires you to be close to perfection. I don’t go gaga over make-up products and only buy what I need. I can say that I’ve been a MAC Cosmetics user ever since I’ve entered my teenage years. But I’m such a practical & environmental-friendly person that buying expensive, animal-byproduct cosmetics isn’t part of my vocabulary, thus MAC Cosmetics brushes & the likes aren’t part of my make-up stash. So what’s my option? I’ve recently learned that there is such as thing as an eco-friendly make-up tools.

Ladies & gays, let me introduce you to Ecotools.

Tried & Tested: MAC Cosmetics

Posted on

I have always been a MAC fan, I’d like to share with you some of my insights about this brand of cosmetic that I’ve grown to love.

Here are some of their products that has become my staple make-up:

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation $26

MAC’s Studio line has the basics that you need. I personally like this one because you can use it as a powder or as a foundation. Apply it dry (powder) or use a wet brush or sponge (foundation). It has different shades too that you can mix according to your skin tone. I use NC40-NC42 since I’m morena (tan-skinned)

MAC Select Cover Up Concealer $16.50

MAC has a variety of concealers but this one is what I’ve gotten used to. Among others, this liquid concealer is not that creamy. It is actually light & soft in the skin and does not cake or crack when applied religiously. I particularly use this for my eye bags and unwanted marks (like blemishes & pimple marks).

MAC Kohl Pencil $14.50

For those who are not a fan of eye liners there’s a good news. MAC Kohl Pencil is your safest bet and could just be your best friend. It is easy to apply and is soft-on. It is creamy, long lasting, won’t cake or streak and best of all it is easy to sharpen. You can use it to apply a sharp line or smudge it to create a smoky effect.

MAC Powder Blush $18.50

Different shades to choose from. I just love how it flawlessly adapt to my skin tone giving me natural blushed cheeks. I use “Instant Chic” in Sheertone finish.

MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick $14

One of my favorite MAC lipsticks! Viva Glam Gaga is a limited edition lipstick named after Lady Gaga. This light blue pink lustre finish lipstick is perfect for every woman! Can liven up your face even with just this lipstick on. The thing I like about MAC lipsticks is the feel of softness when applied to lips, not heavy on the lips at all. Have you noticed the smell of MAC lipsticks? They smell creamy-licious! LOL

MAC Brow Set $15

Ever since I’ve learned how to groom my brows, MAC Brow Set existed in my make-up kit. I just love how I can define and shape my brows and at the same time hold them into place thanks to this product! I use Beguile shade since I sport a dark brown hair, but if I have my hair colored to a medium ash blonde I use Girl Boy for my brows.

There you have it. Some of my staple MAC Cosmetics. For more information you can check out:
